Tomorrow marks the start of the 13th annual exhibition of art and design 'سكة', organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Latifa bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. The events will run until February 9 and will take place in the historic area of Shindagha, as part of the 'Quality of Life in Dubai' strategy. The aim of 'Dubai Culture' is to create an innovative platform that unites various forms of art, highlights talented artists and emerging creators from the Emirates and the Persian Gulf, contributing to enhancing Dubai's position as a global cultural hub.
Within the framework of the events, more than 40 art pieces will be showcased, displayed in 19 houses and around Dubai Creek. Each piece will present different forms of art, unique installations, sculptures, and interactive spaces. Three houses will also be dedicated to the development of skills of talented individuals, as well as a space for people with limited abilities aimed at stimulating their creativity.
The program of events includes 13 mural artists from a selected group of artists, which corresponds to the strategy 'Art in Public Spaces', led by 'Dubai Culture' to reinforce Dubai's visual culture. As part of this event, more than 450 masterclasses, discussions, about 100 live performances, and 13 theatrical presentations will be conducted.
