
The International Congress on Library and Information Science, organized by Al Wasl University, has completed its work at the Mohammed bin Rashid Library. Experts, academics, and interested parties discussed innovative solutions at the congress. At the exhibition, which took place in parallel, the Al-Jumah Center presented its publications, original manuscripts, and examples of damaged manuscript materials.
On the first day of the congress, Riad Reduan, head of the technical processing and storage department at the Al-Jumah Center, presented a report on the strategy for strengthening the role and skills of information specialists in the era of artificial intelligence. During the second day of the congress, the center's director, Dr. Mohammed Jad, spoke about the historical role of the center in the accumulation of books and manuscripts over three decades and how accessible these materials are for researchers and students.
Dr. Mahmoud Abdullalim and Manal Faisal from the technical processing department at the center presented a report on the development of an intellectual technology system aimed at improving the creation of bibliographic records for digital information resources. Various publications and original manuscripts from the center were also represented at the event.
