
On Family Day at the Far-Eastern University festival of Roosevelt, which took place at the Al Ahli Sports Club in Al Nahda, Dubai, there were many notable events, among which a special chess tournament stood out. Young players demonstrated their skills in planning and problem-solving.
The champion was Frances Lezander Agravia (9th grade), followed by Eitan Daniel Dakumos (10th grade) as the first runner-up and Alrajdhin Andzhelo Garcia (11th grade) as the second runner-up. The chess tournament showcased players' exceptional analytical abilities, perseverance, and a sporting spirit, proving that love for the game begins in childhood.
In the Senior Division (grades 9-12), 13 participants competed for first place. The champion was Klark Mateo Firmalo, with Shon Eros Santos taking second place and Robdian David Octavo coming in third.
The Junior Division (grades 4-8) featured a fierce competition among 36 participants. Gabriel Van Zamora (7th grade) claimed the championship title, while Yulian Manalo (6th grade) was the first runner-up, and Prins Llord Albus Persival Sall(z) (7th grade) was the second runner-up.
In the "Beginners" division (kindergarten-3rd grade), the podium was occupied by the students of 3rd grade.
