On the closing day of the World Summit of Governors (WGS) 2025 under the theme "Shaping the Governance of the Future", the keynote address was delivered by his excellency Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. At the session titled "Humanity: the Foundation of Civilization and the Pioneers of the Future", his Excellency Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, his Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, his Excellency Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and his Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as other prominent figures, participated.
His Excellency Sheikh Saif emphasized that Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inspires the UAE with his vision of leadership, which always helps the nation be prepared for the future. He highlighted the necessity of guiding the country in investing in human capital and advancing technologies to strengthen the UAE's position on the global stage in various sectors. His Excellency called on the Emirati youth to be inspired by their nation and strive for increasingly significant achievements.
Furthermore, Sheikh Saif emphasized the urgent need for the UAE to present humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people and mentioned that the country has become one of the largest aid providers to Gaza. He also noted the importance of reinforcing the legacy of the founding country through responsibility towards future generations and ensuring that the country's achievements are built on sustainability.
At the conclusion of the session, Sheikh Saif gifted all attendees copies of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's book titled "On the Differentiation of Parts and Positives". Conducted under the theme "Shaping the Governance of the Future", this year's World Summit of Governors gathered over 30 state and governmental heads, more than 80 international and regional organizations, and 140 governmental delegations. His Excellency Sheikh Saif also noted that the UAE shines like a beacon in challenging times, always fulfilling its obligations.
