Dubai police arrested a young driver after a video of his ride at a speed of 300 km/h went viral. The recording captured the speedometer of the car, which sharply increased from 140 km/h to 300 km/h. Dubai police posted the video on their Facebook page: "In order to prevent dangerous driving and ensure safety on the roads, Dubai police arrested a young driver for driving at a speed of 300 km/h, endangering his life and the lives of others."
"He should be imprisoned, his motorcycle confiscated, and his driving license cancelled," wrote another user. "Because of such people, normal people cannot drive calmly," commented one of the users. "Absolutely dangerous and unsafe driving," added another.
In light of users' comments on social media, the police reminded residents and citizens of the United Arab Emirates about the country's laws. "According to Law No. 30 of 2023 on the confiscation of transport means, the fine for the release of a confiscated transport means can reach 50,000 dirhams," reported Dubai police.
