Mediafond Dubai announced the production of a musical operation titled 'Our Community in Ramadan'. This project responds to the call from the high-profile Sheikh Mohammedi bin Zaid Al Nahayan about the celebration in 2025, 'Year of Community' in the UAE, under the slogan 'Hand in Hand'. The work on the operation has become part of the strategy for preserving uniqueness and responding to the calls of official figures in the cultural life of the country. The head of the television and radio stations of Mediافونڈ, Sara Al Jarmoun, noted that the project's goal is to create artistic and social content reflecting the diversity of the UAE community at all age groups and social classes, with a special focus on family.
The operation will feature traditional Ramadan rituals in the UAE, starting from the meeting of the new lunar month and the joyful anticipation at the beginning of the holy month, to the rituals of fasting and the cultural aspects of the lives of the population relevant to that time. The scenario of the operation and its artistic concept, poet and laureate of multiple music awards Adel Khazam, emphasized that this project will showcase different stages of Dubai's history, with special attention given to cultural landmarks during the 1980s when the Al Rashid suburb was established, playing a key role in the international recognition of Dubai. The operation will reflect the traditional customs of Ramadan, such as family gatherings to watch the lunar appearance, fasting rituals and the cultural norms of that time.
The operation 'Our Community in Ramadan' has involved many well-known artists, including Marai Al Hallan, Abdallah Zeyd and Ashjan, as well as enthusiastic leading television channels of Mediافونڈ, such as Layla Al Makbali, Abdallah Ismail, Meitha Mohammedi, and Ahmed Al Flasi. Director Osama Ash Sharki has created a magnificent visual feast, combining classical and contemporary elements, while the musical direction of the operation has been undertaken by Khalid Naser, known for its vocal performances and expressive rhythms. The operation can be seen on the television channel 'Smile Dubai' from the beginning of Ramadan until the conclusion of the celebrations of the holiday Al-Fitr.
