
Dubai College of Tourism, in collaboration with Marriott International, has launched a new professional training program for UAE nationals. This program, approved by the Ministry of Education, aims to ensure students receive comprehensive vocational training that combines theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Upon completion of the training, they will open up wide opportunities for establishing a successful career in the hospitality sector in Dubai and globally.
The first session of the new program will begin in May 2025 with 40 Emirati students participating. The training will take place at the Dubai College of Tourism building in the World Trade Centre area. The two-year program is designed for students aged 18 and older and includes a Diploma IV level study, approved by the Ministry of Education.
After completing the Marriott program, it is planned to offer graduates permanent employment in its hotels, distributed throughout the UAE. More than 40 Marriott hotels in the UAE, including 30 in Dubai, will participate in this initiative in the first year.
Mariam Sultan Al-Muaini, Director of National Talent Development at Dubai College of Tourism, noted: "Our collaboration with Marriott International on the launch of this new educational program for UAE nationals reflects our commitment to developing and enhancing the professional skills of those working in the tourism and hospitality sectors in the country."
Sandeep Walia, Regional Operations Director for the Middle East and Eastern Europe at Marriott International, stated: "Our goal in launching this program is to provide young nationals with an opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary for a successful career in the travel industry and to participate in the achievements of the UAE."
