
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has been honored as the recipient of the Emirates International Holy Quran Award – Personality of the Year 2025, marking a historic moment as the first person to receive this prestigious recognition. The award acknowledges his significant contributions to the Holy Quran and its reciters, both within the UAE and on a global scale.
His Highness the President recognized Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid's various initiatives dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Holy Quran. Some of these initiatives include the establishment of the Dubai International Quran Award, the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mushaf, the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Quranic Manuscripts, and several Quranic competitions and memorization programs.
In addition, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid played a crucial role in founding the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Printing the Holy Quran and enhancing Quranic institutions and academies. His efforts have significantly contributed to the dissemination and understanding of the teachings of the Holy Quran.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan commended Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his dedication to promoting human values based on Islamic principles and driving the progress of the nation. The UAE President praised Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid's commitment to the Holy Quran, including his support for reciters, Quranic competitions, and initiatives aimed at preserving the Arabic language.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was presented with a special edition of Mushaf, a handwritten copy of the Holy Quran, in recognition of his outstanding achievements. He was also acknowledged for his humanitarian and cultural endeavors that have positively impacted the UAE and beyond.
In appreciation of his remarkable contributions, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid received a framed photograph featuring himself alongside the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as well as a signed letter of gratitude from the UAE President and Abu Dhabi Ruler.
