The Dubai Women's Foundation held its first board meeting for 2025, announcing initiatives aimed at enhancing women's economic participation, particularly in entrepreneurship, and improving their quality of life.

Last week, the first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Fund of Dubai took place in 2025. The chair of the council, Mona Ghanem Al Merri, met with the participants of the meeting to discuss plans and initiatives that the Fund aims to implement in the first half of the year. These initiatives include the launch of experimental programs, round tables, and new projects, as well as the preparation of specialized reports on the female empowerment.

Mona Al Merri expressed the intention to enhance the economic participation of women, especially in the field of entrepreneurship, with the aim of improving the quality of life, in order to strengthen Dubai's position as a global leader among women's friendly countries. This will be achieved through collaboration and partnerships with relevant government institutions and private companies in Dubai.

At the meeting were also present the deputy chair of the board of directors, representatives of the government, the private sector, as well as the marketing director in Dubai, Holding, the first deputy chair of the Tekom Group - District Dubai for design, and the former director of business development in the local financial market.

Among the Fund's plans for the near future is the organization of an exhibition supporting entrepreneurs from government institutions in Dubai, with the participation of over 30 women from 15 institutions, who will be presented opportunities to promote and expand their production and services.

The Fund will also conduct a number of lectures and master classes on programs of psychological health in April. The project "Dubai - a homeland, friendly to women" will also be launched after the successful first phase in 2024, within the framework of work on this project in partnership with government partners to ensure a variety of services for women.

Within the framework of the Fund's strategy, the program "Empowerment of Women Leaders" will also be implemented together with the Sharjah Business School from Great Britain. The main goal of the program is to foster and strengthen leadership qualities for women from the UAE and prepare them for occupying leading positions.
