Absolute preservation by the Secretariat of the International Khalifa Prize for the best innovation in farming and agriculture of the winning poem of the competition "Palm Branches of Poets" of its ninth edition 2025. In the category "Literary Poetry" the first place was taken by the poet Mukhammed Heyri Imam Djabr with his poem "Barhane", the second place was taken by Mukhammed Amin Ahmed Abd with the poem "O, sister of Maria", and the third place was awarded to the poetess Alaa Naim Ali al-Katraui for her poem "The Departure of the Phoenix". In the category "Naïve Poetry", the first place was taken by the poet Mukhammed Abdullakh az-Zaabi with the poem "History of the Struggle", the second place was taken by Ali Mukhammed Saif Saleh al-Mazrui with the poem "The Benevolent Palm", and the third place was awarded to the poetess Dine Ziad Khalil al-Keysi for the poem "Daughter of the Wasteland". In the competition of its ninth edition, 698 poets and poetesses from 23 countries participated, who submitted their poems in two categories: poetry in the literary language and folk poetry, proven by love for the phoenix and its meaning. The General Secretary of the Prize, Dr. Abdvalhab Zayd, emphasized that the assessment of poetic works was conducted by a specialized jury, which included the poet and journalist Aieda ben Masud, the poet and journalist Hamdan ben Sarukh ad-Dara, and the poet and critic Sameh Ahmed Kaush. He explained that the evaluation methodology depends on the assessment of the level of poets based on criteria of beauty and rhetoric, such as originality and depth of description, ideas and enrichment of the theme and imagery, as well as linguistic, grammatical, and musical criteria, such as rhythm and rhyme. "Palm Branches of Poets" is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of the phoenix.
