Dubai Prepares for the 10th Knowledge Summit 2025

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktum Knowledge Foundation has announced that the tenth edition of the Knowledge Summit 2025, taking place on November 19-20 at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme 'Knowledge Markets: Developing Sustainable Communities', will bring together an elite of thinkers, creators, and decision-makers from over 100 countries, continuing its mission to build knowledge bridges that transcend cultures. This was revealed during a press conference that highlighted the key features of the upcoming edition. The summit coincides with the declaration of 2025 as the 'Year of the Community' in the UAE, and its dialogue sessions and discussions offer a global dialogue that places knowledge at the heart of social development, affirming that investing in thought and knowledge is the most worthy investment for building prosperous communities. Jamal bin Huairib, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktum Knowledge Foundation, stated that the summit serves as a global reference point for shaping thought trends in the knowledge economy and envisioning its future, positioning Dubai at the heart of a global dialogue on mechanisms for transforming knowledge into sustainable economic and social value. He noted that this role reflects the vision of the UAE's leadership that knowledge is the foundation of development and a renewable resource for building a better future for humanity. In turn, Dr. Hani Turki, Chief Technical Advisor of the Knowledge Project at the United Nations Development Programme, stated that this year's edition of the Global Knowledge Index will undergo methodological updates to enhance its accuracy and comparability between countries by adding new sub-indicators, developing statistical weights, and integrating criteria for assessing readiness to build knowledge societies and economies in the sectors of education, R&D, innovation, technology, economy, and governance. He indicated that the enhanced index will provide a more effective tool for decision-makers to map long-term strategies that support sustainable human development. Saif Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Knowledge Summit's Organizing Committee, detailed the event's agenda, which offers a comprehensive interactive experience through a series of specialized halls that reflect the summit's diverse themes. These include the Main Hall, representing the premier platform for global intellectual dialogues; the Sustainable Communities Hall in partnership with the UN; the Global Knowledge Index Hall; the Knowledge Dialogues Hall, which will host an elite of creators in short, inspiring sessions; the Future Skills Hall, featuring specialized workshops from the Future Skills Academy; the Roundtable Hall for high-level meetings; a Training Hall; a contracts-signing corner; a meet-the-author corner; alongside a concurrent exhibition with the participation of governmental and private entities. This year's summit will feature over 45 sessions with the participation of approximately 130 speakers, including officials, experts, thought leaders, and business leaders from various sectors, to discuss building more equitable and effective knowledge markets that contribute to establishing a sustainable knowledge economy, leveraging modern tools like artificial intelligence, blockchain, and big data and their role in innovating solutions to global challenges, alongside issues of education, innovation, intellectual property, scientific research, and social development.
