The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) launched the second leg of the OFW Serbisyo Caravan in Dubai on Nov. 15. The event, running until Nov. 16, is being held across three halls at the Dubai World Trade Centre to streamline assistance for overseas Filipinos. Compared to the first caravan, which faced overwhelming crowds, this event ran much more smoothly due to the implementation of an online pre-registration system and a queue management system. Around 2,600 OFWs registered online, but walk-ins are also being accommodated. Eleven partner government agencies are offering essential services, including contract verification, SSS and Pag-IBIG membership, and national ID registration. Food stations were also added to improve the waiting experience for attendees.
