The UAE Board on Books for Young People has called on publishers in the United Arab Emirates to participate in the International Board on Books for Young People's competition to select distinguished books for young people with disabilities for the year 2027. This competition is one of the world's leading initiatives supporting the right of children and young people with disabilities to access high-quality knowledge content. The competition allows publishers to nominate books published from 2022 onwards, provided the rights are reserved and they represent a qualitative addition within two main categories: media that facilitate book access, including publications in formats such as Braille, sign language, large print, tactile books, and books made accessible for readers with developmental disabilities.
