A Dubai Civil Court has ruled that an insurance company must pay 93,450 dirhams in compensation, plus 5 % legal interest, for a traffic accident.
The case arose after a collision in which fault was attributed to the defendant’s insured vehicle. The claimant’s insurer initially covered repair costs based on estimates from approved repair centers, selecting the lowest quote including VAT.
After unsuccessful settlement attempts, the matter was brought to court electronically. The court upheld the insurer’s obligation to reimburse the full repair costs, legal interest, and court fees.
