Musical Evening at Global Village Strengthens UAE-Kuwait Brotherhood

Last night, Global Village was transformed into a vibrant stage during a musical evening held as part of the Week of Fraternal Relations between the UAE and Kuwait under the slogan 'UAE and Kuwait... Brothers Forever'. The event featured a variety of rhythms reflecting the diversity of the contemporary Gulf music scene. It included UAE DJ 'MK', Kuwaiti band 'Shayab', Kuwaiti rapper Daffy, and artist Alaa Al-Hindi, who presented performances akin to joyful paintings that the audience interacted with, in an atmosphere that embodied love, cultural rapprochement, and a celebration of heritage and modernity at the heart of Global Village. The evening began with UAE DJ 'MK', who successfully ignited the audience's enthusiasm by presenting a mix of songs that attract audiences from different nationalities, blending Gulf, Eastern, and Western rhythms. Following that, the Kuwaiti band 'Shayab', famous in the Arab world for blending comedy, dance, music, and Western singing, took the stage. Comedy was the main driving force of the show and the audience's interaction with the band. Audience members sang along with the songs they performed on stage and interacted with the skits and playing on various instruments. Meanwhile, Kuwaiti rapper Daffy presented his musical segment with loud rhythms that set the stage on fire and were met with great audience enthusiasm. Daffy performed several segments accompanied by the band 'Shayab', who joined him on stage to present joint pieces, after which artist Alaa Al-Hindi joined them on stage, offering with her warm voice a bouquet of her most beautiful songs, adding an emotional and dreamy dimension to the evening. This made the performances look like a complete painting, loaded with high energy, and forming a lively musical experience. Regarding his first performance at Global Village, Kuwaiti artist Daffy told 'Al Ittihad': 'Presenting a show at this stage in Global Village has always been a dream for me, as it is a theater that brings together an audience of different nationalities, and I am very happy to be the first Gulf rapper to stand on this stage and meet this international audience.' He expressed his happiness at participating in the celebrations that honor the brotherhood between the UAE and Kuwait, adding: 'The UAE is one eye, and Kuwait is the other, and the love that unites the two countries is deeply rooted in the souls of its people for many years and until today.' He also noted that performing rap is a great responsibility for him, especially since the perception of rap in the Arab world was not as it is today, so he was keen to present a distinctive collaboration during the concert with artist Alaa Al-Hindi. In turn, Alaa Al-Hindi expressed her happiness at being in this concert, which carries a message of love between two brotherly countries, noting that art always succeeds in delivering a message of peace that strengthens relations between countries, and the artist's mission is to deliver his voice. She added that she sings in a calm style, and her participation with 'Daffy' in blending rap and romantic dreamy singing formed an artistic style that attracts the audience, revealing that she wants to try singing rap in the future. She mentioned that the preparation for this concert was under the title 'Passion for presenting what is distinctive,' and its success was based on the spiritual connection among its participants, because this connection is what makes any work touch the audience's heart. On the other hand, Alejandro from the band 'Shayab' said that Emiratis and Kuwaitis are brothers and cousins, as the bonds that unite them are strong and solid, and they are cultural and heritage bonds, expressing his happiness at being on the stage of Global Village on such an occasion that carries a national dimension. He praised the audience of Global Village, who interacted with their performances and sang along to their songs, adding: 'The audience in Global Village interacted with us in a special way, and I felt that the audience is thirsty for art and wants to see shows that make its heart happy, which in turn reflects on the artist and increases his energy on stage, especially if the artist is always eager to present what pleases the audience.' About the secret of success, DJ 'MK' said to 'Al Ittihad': 'A DJ must present his own music, through which he can convey his feelings to people so that they interact with him, and that is what distinguishes one person from another, especially since the concept of arranging music has changed and developed a lot, now he can present a whole song from applause.' He noted that the DJ interacts with the stage depending on the audience, considering that the performances on the Global Village stage differ from others because they attract many nationalities, and the audience is very diverse, and it is necessary to present music that satisfies different tastes. He emphasized that his style in music is characterized by conveying feelings first, pointing to the importance of changing the concept of the DJ in people's eyes, and regarding the occasion of the shows held under the slogan 'UAE and Kuwait... Brothers Forever,' he added: 'The people of Kuwait are our brothers, and I am happy to organize this celebration and participate in it, because music carries a message of love and peace and brings happiness to hearts.'
