Dubai Launches Series of Free Live Performances on the Waterfront

The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism has launched the 'Dubai Live Performances' initiative, aiming to revitalize public spaces through live shows that align with local culture and provide new platforms for showcasing local talents. The initiative takes place on weekends (Friday to Sunday) until March 1st at Bluewaters Island, one of the premier destinations on Dubai's coastline, known for its atmosphere, scenic views, and pedestrian-friendly areas. Shows are scheduled in the evenings starting at 6:30 PM, in line with local cultural values and to make the most of the pleasant outdoor weather, with the goal of integrating distinctive cultural activities into daily life in public squares. 'Live Street Performance' is a common form of live shows in global cities, offering an open platform for musicians and artists to display their talents and interact directly with the public in public spaces. The initiative reflects the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism's commitment to enhancing cultural interaction in the emirate and enriching the experiences of residents and visitors, implemented in cooperation with a local partner specializing in entertainment and featuring a diverse selection of local artists. Among the participating artists are Dina Stars, Jay Abu, and Youssef Hassan. Although the performances are free to the public, attendees can easily and securely express their appreciation and support for the artists through a digital cashless payment form provided by the 'Zaina' platform, enabling artists to receive support directly and seamlessly.
