Dubai has launched the Al Layan Oasis project as part of its 'Blue and Green Roadmap 2030'. Valued at over AED 4 billion, the initiative aims to create a balanced urban environment that combines sustainability, livability, and quality of life. Al Layan Oasis is a strategic addition to Dubai's portfolio of environmental destinations, embodying the municipality's approach that prioritizes the happiness and well-being of residents and visitors. The project is divided into four main zones offering a unified experience across leisure, nature, and services. It features integrated infrastructure, 1,000 parking spaces, a lake covering over 250,000 square meters, and 14 km of walking and cycling tracks, including 4 km of elevated paths five meters above the ground. The oasis will offer 28 rest areas, children's play zones, camping facilities for 100 caravans, an open-air cinema, an amphitheater, food truck areas, and event spaces. Designed to the highest environmental standards, the project uses resource-efficient and eco-friendly solutions, including the expansion of native planting and shaded areas. It is expected to attract 330,000 visitors annually, balancing eco-tourism development with the preservation of natural systems. Al Layan Oasis will become a valuable addition to Dubai's network of parks and public destinations, attracting those seeking a desert experience that blends recreation, culture, and nature. The project supports the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 and the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. As stated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Dubai's urban development is driven by a commitment to creating a sustainable environment and the highest quality of life for people.
