The event was held over 23 days from December 12, 2025, to January 3, 2026, in the vicinity of Tel Marrab, the highest sand dune in the country. It welcomed camping, desert, adventure, and speed racing enthusiasts of all kinds, as well as families, highlighting the exceptional tourist and cultural assets of the Al Dhafra region. The Liwa International Festival (Liwa 2026) attracted over 700,000 visitors who enjoyed a packed program of events that combined culture, motorsports, family-friendly, and recreational experiences, cementing its status as one of the top winter destinations in the United Arab Emirates and the Arabian Gulf region. The Liwa International Festival was organized in cooperation with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, Liwa Sports Club, and the municipality.
