Under the slogan 'Ramadan.. The Month of Giving', 'Schools of Life' will launch in March. Dubai's Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) is offering the community inspiring sessions and diverse interactive activities across Dubai's public libraries. This reflects the Authority's commitment to providing an innovative educational environment that develops community life skills, creativity, and cultural awareness, while promoting positive thinking. The upcoming month features over 23 interactive workshops covering calligraphy, music, performing arts, languages, family development, health, and more. Participants can explore the basics of clay sculpting and ceramics, learn how to prepare 'Ma'amoul' cookies, and enjoy storytelling sessions. In March, the Safa Art and Design Library will host a '3D Arabic Calligraphy' workshop with artist Linda Al Milligi, teaching participants how to create 3D wooden artworks. Artist Abir Al Eidani will lead a 'Bead Collage' workshop, guiding visitors in creating contemporary art by combining color and texture. As part of the 'Art Club', the Kitabna Cultural Center will hold a 'Soap Lantern' workshop, teaching participants how to make high-quality, natural soap lanterns inspired by Ramadan. The Rashidiya Library will host a 'Bookmarker in Paper Quilling' workshop, and the Al Tawar Library will feature a session on 'The Arabic Language in Life: Giving as a Language', with storytelling that reflects the spirit of the holy month. The Rashidiya Library will also host a 'Ma'amoul Preparation' workshop, and the Hatta Public Library's 'Family Development Club' will present a 'Balanced Giving' workshop, focusing on the difference between balanced and exhausting giving. For music and arts, the Safa Art and Design Library will partner with 'Corden' for its 'Music and Performing Arts Club', including a children's choir workshop, 'Arabic Choir: Eid Has Come', and a performance for Mother's Day. The 'Art Club' will feature creative workshops like a 'Piggy Bank' design session and a 'Fabric Crescent' plush-making workshop. In collaboration with Tashkeel, Dubai Culture will offer a 'Hand Pottery' workshop to teach the basics of clay work and a 'Claymation' workshop to explore stop-motion animation techniques.
