Dubai Women's Sports Tournament Concludes with Winners

The 12th Sheikh Hind Sports Tournament for women continues in Dubai with over 1200 female athletes competing in eight sports. Highlights include victories by Dubai Police participants in various categories.

During the "Dubai Sheikh Hind Damask Cup" sports competition for women in Dubai, competitions were held in various sports, including badminton and bowling. In the women's category, the victory was achieved by Zakiya Draush, representing the Dubai Police, with a score of 596 points. Mirah Shibib came in second place, and Rim Jamal came in third.

Among the leaders, the top position was held by Samanta Shmali from the Dubai Police. The second and third places were occupied by Ora Mishali Jim and Lady Liz Ann.

In badminton, the novices were won by Mariam Mubarak and Fatima as-Suveidi, also representing the Dubai Police. The second place was taken by Hanan as-Si and Zeynab al-Juhra from the Department of Roads and Transportation, and the third place was occupied by Sheikh at-Tahir and Aisha bin Suleiman from the Dubai Police.

The competitions are held with the aim of attracting sports talents among women of different nationalities and ages. More than 1200 participants from government, semi-government, and private institutions and companies participate in the tournament. The competitions run until October 30 and include eight types of sports, among which are bowling, running, cycling, badminton, archery, obstacle course, and basketball.
