Dubai will host 25 international and local sporting events in the current UAE season with the cooperation of the Dubai Sports Council. The events will be open for participation from various categories of the community, including locals and expatriates. Among the outstanding events will be the Dubai Premier Badminton 1, an international tournament for para-athletes, surfing competitions on the waves in Khur-Dubai, and a women's running marathon.
The international tournament Dubai Premier Badminton 1 will take place on the tennis courts of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium from November 3 to 10. The competitions will feature 256 of the best players in the world, who will compete in separate categories of men's and women's doubles matches for a total prize money of 470,000 euros (1.89 million dirhams).
