Designers in Dubai recently showcased their forward-thinking concepts during the Chattels Design Contest 2.0, organized in partnership with Dubai Home Festival (DHF). The exciting competition aimed to merge creativity with AI in furniture design to set new trends in the industry. This year saw a stiff competition among participants, each impressing the judges with innovative sofa designs created with the use of AI.

The winner of the Design Contest 2.0 was announced as Fargol Beheshti, whose visionary sofa design, titled 'The Oasis,' symbolized comfort and joy, reflecting the essence of the UAE. The winning design will be featured in Chattels & More's showroom as part of a limited-edition collection. Runners-up included talented designers like Linda Sarrar and Ayesha Meeran, among other exceptional finalists, selected from numerous submissions.

The event at the Chattels & More Showroom was a grand finale for DHF, drawing a large audience of design enthusiasts. The initiative not only showcased the latest trends and technologies in furniture design but also highlighted Dubai as a leader in design excellence. Guest attendees explored Chattels & More's range of modern furniture, solidifying the brand's position as the UAE's favorite furniture destination.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of DFRE, commended the contest for introducing a new generation of visually stunning products that cater to the needs of diverse consumers. The competition's success and the exceptional talent displayed indicate the city's thriving design sector. The esteemed Grand Panel, featuring prominent figures like Easa Al Gurg and Adrian Shaw, reviewed and shortlisted the designs, preparing them for production and display.

Easa Al Gurg emphasized the power of AI as a tool to enhance, not replace, human creativity, encouraging designers to innovate and shape Dubai's evolving design scene. With a focus on local talent and innovation, the Chattels Design Contest 2.0 exemplified the city's commitment to nurturing creativity and pushing boundaries in the furniture industry.
