According to the World Health Organization, more than half of the planet's population still lacks access to essential health services. The "Pension Gifts" campaign is part of the International Initiative of Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the largest humanitarian-development organization in the region. This campaign represents a sustainable and permanent charitable fund dedicated to providing medical treatment and assistance to the poor and needy. The initiative also focuses on supporting parents and social solidarity, strengthening the philanthropic position of the UAE through the creation of a sustainable fund that ensures medical assistance for the less fortunate.
Mohammed Al Gergawi, Secretary General of the International Initiative of Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, emphasized that the "Pension Gifts" campaign aligns with the Year of Tolerance, proclaimed by the highest authority. He also noted that this campaign continues the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to create a global humanitarian movement, reinforcing the values of Emirati society and serving humanitarian goals. Al Gergawi added that the new campaign reinforces within the UAE the culture of giving and philanthropy, while also supporting Sheikh Mohammed's belief that the path of giving is noble and priceless.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stated: "Dear brothers and sisters, during the month of Ramadan we continue our tradition of humanitarian campaigns with the launch of the 'Pension Gifts' campaign – a sustainable and ongoing charitable event dedicated to all fathers in the UAE." He emphasized that fathers are our first models, supporters, and mentors, guiding us through strength and wisdom. The funds collected by the campaign will be directed towards developing hospitals and procuring medicines and medical equipment for treatment.
This campaign continues the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and his aspiration to create a sustainable charitable and humanitarian endeavor through a comprehensive institutional program. It aims to equip millions of people around the world with education and skill development for a decent life and collaborates with various humanitarian organizations.
Initiated in 2015, the International Initiative of Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum unites more than 30 initiatives and organizations supported by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for two decades. The main goal is to give a strong impulse to global change and development through the creation of innovative solutions addressing cultural, educational, economic, social, health, ecological, and humanitarian challenges at both regional and global levels.
