As part of the new initiative "Ramadan Around the Family", the Ministry of Education of the UAE suggested that parents independently bring their children to school and return them during the holy month of Ramadan. This will allow for a balance between educational requirements with the spiritual and family aspects of Ramadan, ensuring student learning during the month of fasting and simultaneously allowing them to participate in significant family events. Such activities are aimed at strengthening family ties, instilling the values of the holy month, and developing key skills in learners.
Educational staff will continue working in schools on Fridays, and schools will be open for the admission of students if parents want to send them. Every Friday during Ramadan will be designated as a day for distance learning. However, students who have exams scheduled on Fridays during Ramadan will be exempt from this distance learning day. Their exams will be conducted in person according to previously approved schedules. Additionally, as part of the initiative, there will be a provision for take-home assignments for students, which they can complete with their parents.
