A Syrian woman, 26 years old, faced a tough decision regarding the preservation of her own life or that of her newborn child or herself. Doctors were faced with a difficult choice, whether to prioritize the health of the mother or focus on saving the life of the child.

The woman underwent serious heart surgery while still pregnant to correct a cardiac anomaly. However, the pregnancy posed additional risks to her health and life. The doctors were compelled to make a decision that they could not allow to endanger both the woman and the child at the same time.

"I have an internal conflict," the woman explained. "I understand that my life is in danger, but I cannot give up on my child." The essence of the conflict lies in the fact that the pregnancy endangers not only the health of the woman but also that of the child, born with congenital heart defects.

The young woman is trying to maintain a positive attitude and hopes for the favorable development of events. "I will be happy if I see my baby," she added. "I feel that we can all survive." The woman is currently awaiting a difficult path of making decisions and fighting for her and her child's health.
