Former national team player and currently for Dubai club, Tareq Ahmed, revealed his preference for not consuming large amounts of food during Iftar meals in Ramadan. He clarifies that he mostly limits himself to having soup and dates until he can no longer eat before training sessions. Ahmed relies on this dietary regimen to maximize his performance from daily workouts. In his interview with 'The Emirates Today', he confirmed that the Suhoor meal is the most important for him during Ramadan, consisting of rice, meat, salad, and bread. He emphasizes consuming food that provides him with good energy without hindering his athletic performance. He notes that he eats bananas before dawn. As for the Iftar meal, Tareq Ahmed prefers to traditionally have it at his parents' home, focusing on consuming dates. He strives not to overeat despite his mother’s insistence on that. After competitions, he makes sure to visit family and relatives and connect with his fellow players. Regarding the sporting aspect, Ahmed looks forward to two important matches for Dubai club in the first division. He considers them strong competitions and aims to achieve the best results. He expresses his desire to perform the Umrah during the last ten days of Ramadan, if circumstances allow.
