Kaspersky detected 4,000 malicious and unwanted files disguised as popular applications throughout 2025. The data showed that these malicious or unwanted files exploited the names of popular applications like "Zoom", "Office", and "Microsoft" to serve as bait for users. Additionally, there has been an increase in attackers exploiting popular artificial intelligence services, such as "ChatGPT".
