Kaspersky has discovered a wave of phishing attacks targeting students, faculty, and academic staff at colleges and universities. Cybercriminals distribute links to fake login pages via email, and they may also appear in search engine results for login pages of academic institutions. The attackers create fake login pages that mimic the official websites of universities, then trick victims into entering their login credentials, leading to the theft of their personal data or complete loss of access to their university accounts. This campaign has targeted individuals from various countries.
