The Ministry of Health and Community Prevention, in cooperation with 'Merk Gulf', presented the results of the national campaign launched by the ministry in October 2023 for the early detection of type 2 diabetes. This campaign, part of the government business accelerators program, aims to enhance prevention and achieve national targets for reducing its prevalence in the UAE. The results were presented at the ISPOR Europe 2025 conference. The presentation reflects the outcomes of the year-long campaign, which exceeded the target for early diabetes detection by over 150,000 screenings nationwide, compared to the set goal of 100,000 screenings. This highlights the efficiency of the national model and the integration of efforts among health entities, alongside partnerships.
