Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has confirmed that the 'Integration' initiative has contributed to empowering people of determination in the work environment and society. The initiative targets employees with determination at the authority or employees who have children with determination, to support them in education and provide basic needs and equipment. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, said: 'We work according to the wise leadership's vision to enhance the integration, qualification, and empowerment of people of determination, and to provide an inclusive, comprehensive, and positive environment that caters to their needs and helps them overcome challenges to ensure their effective participation in the development and prosperity journey on par with others.' He added: 'We are committed to improving the quality of life for people of determination, helping them build constructive communication and live independently, and providing them with equal opportunities to excel, innovate, and unleash their potential.' According to the results of the Customer Happiness Index measured by the Dubai Government Excellence Programme, the happiness of customers with determination reached 98.02% during 2025. DEWA revealed that since the launch of the 'Integration' initiative, more than 40 employees and their children have benefited from it. The initiative is part of the authority's initiatives to support people of determination in the work environment, including the 'My Friend' initiative, which assigns two trained and qualified colleagues to each employee with determination to support their colleagues in the work environment and in emergencies; 'My Consultations' to provide psychological support to employees with determination; 'Al-Bishr' to expedite procedures for employees with determination through a team of specialists in the Human Resources Department; 'Legal Advisor for People of Determination' to provide legal consultations; and the 'My Wish' initiative to fulfil the wishes of employees with determination.
