In an attempt to draw attention to ensuring safety on the roads, an Emirati resident, who lost a limb as a result of an accident, left a clear message to the public: he wants to see zero fatalities. In a recent viral video, published by Dubai Police, Ahmed Alraisi talks about his experience and the consequences of the accident caused by speeding.

"Speeding has serious consequences, and the risks it carries are great. Remember that traffic laws are made for your protection and the safety of all road users," Dubai Police reminds in the context of its campaign "Together for Zero Road Traffic Incidents."

"I lost part of my body, and many young people lose their youth due to road traffic incidents," Alraisi wrote. "I hope we won’t see fatalities or disabilities due to car accidents."

Moreover, the video attracted the attention of users of social networks, garnering 3,446 likes on the comment's posting. "A deep message for everyone living in the UAE," one commentator stated. "I wish it was a number less than zero."

In a separate post, Alraisi also called on the public to learn lessons from these incidents that have affected many lives, especially the youth. "These frames reflect part of the reality that I experienced. My brother died in an accident. The whole family suffers because of this," said another interviewee.
