Under the theme ‘Vaccination, Research and Development, Policy and Delivery: Towards a Healthier Future’ the event will bring together more than 3,500 participants and 100 brands from over 20 countries. The show-summit, held under the support of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), will focus on innovative advancements in the field of vaccination and medicine, including achievements in treating diseases and the use of advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance vaccine distribution and develop new strategies for future epidemics.
At the Healthcare Future Summit 2024, the impacts of modern technologies and AI on pharmaceutical research will also be examined, with a particular emphasis on developing vaccines and innovations in combating respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and 'immunity aging'. There will be showcases of advanced achievements in vaccine technologies and more effective distribution methods.
On the panel discussions, various technologies will be addressed on how newer technologies can enhance global healthcare supply chains and foster collaboration between international healthcare institutions to improve health response systems to global challenges.
Al Bloshi emphasized that the DHA's support for this global summit reflects its commitment to advancing innovations, embracing modern technologies, and leveraging AI to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of healthcare services in the emirate, congruent with Dubai's vision for this field.
The significance of strengthening collaboration among regional and international health participants, exchanging best practices, and utilizing collective experience for solution development—which better prepares health systems to respond to future pandemics—was also highlighted.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Abdulsalam Al Madani, founding president of the Middle Eastern parliamentary assembly for the Persian Gulf region and general director of the medical summit, Dubai will host the Healthcare Future Summit 2024 at the Dubai International Trade Center from October 29 to 31.
Ramadan Al Bloshi, advisor to the DHA director, director of the public health protection department, and chair of the summit’s scientific committee, emphasized the importance of the event as a platform for sharing information on health challenges and opportunities in healthcare to improve global health outcomes.
Organized by INDEX Conference and Exhibitions LLC, a member of INDEX Holding, supported by the Dubai Health Authority, the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), the Emirates Public Health Society, the World Federation of Public Health Associations, European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID), the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM), and the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly.
Discussions will focus on economic efficiency and financial models to ensure the sustainability of vaccination programs, optimizing healthcare resource management through partnerships between public and private sectors. The event will also address vaccination policies in the GCC and explore the development of a unified approach to enhance public health in the region and prepare for future pandemics by developing effective health system preparedness strategies.
