Recognizing the importance of health and wellness for maintaining a productive and happy workforce, Emirates Group actively participates in the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) since its inception, encouraging employees to engage in fitness and lead a healthier lifestyle.
Every year more than 51,000 Emirates Group employees in the UAE participate in the annual fitness festival since 2017, logging millions of minutes and burning calories through physical activity, as well as participating in various fitness activities.
The Dubai Fitness Challenge is back, and Emirates Group again calls on its workforce to take part and complete 30 minutes of physical exercises every day for 30 days or 30X30, with an additional incentive - a free airline ticket for all participants who complete the challenge in any direction within the Emirates network.
Employees in Dubai can start monthly wellness celebrations with countless options of free activities across the board, engage in sports events and group workouts, participate in major community sporting events - Dubai Run and Dubai Ride - or continue their favorite fitness activities, moving toward their healthy goals and wellbeing.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of the airline and Emirates Group, stated: 'Emirates Group has long supported the Dubai Fitness Challenge. More than 30 different sports and hobby clubs and activities, such as football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, cricket, cycling, rugby, snowboarding, diving, and paragliding, are led and organized by Emirates Group employees throughout the year.
As the Dubai Fitness Challenge progresses, fitness experts from the employees conduct free sessions across all Group locations, and teams can receive special discounts and offers in participating sports clubs and gyms in Dubai.
