Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised Al Ibdaa’ Model School in Dubai for winning the ‘Best School’ award at the 8th Arab Reading Challenge, emphasizing the critical role of reading in shaping future generations.

Sheikh Mohammed urged educational institutions to cultivate respect for reading among the new generation, as this gives them the keys to success and increases their chances of shaping the future. In this regard, Sheikh Mohammed awarded Al Ibdaa’ Model School - Cycle 1 the title of 'Best School' and a prize of 1 million dirhams for its significant role in promoting reading among students, as well as for supporting this initiative and stimulating student participation.

During his visit to Al Ibdaa’ Model School - Cycle 1, which received the ‘Best School’ award at the 8th Arab Reading Challenge, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the important role of schools in shaping the identity of the individual at this stage of its character development, promoting work on embedding values and principles that will be part of the person throughout life.

Sheikh Mohammed highly appreciated the efforts of Al Ibdaa’ School, stressing that schools play a key role in shaping the future, whose missions can only be fulfilled through the upbringing of a responsible and creative generation.

This visit reflects Sheikh Mohammed's constant drive for the education sector and its long-term support for educational institutions.

This year, the Arab Reading Challenge - the largest Arab initiative in the world for reading, organized by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), witnessed unprecedented participation, attracting more than 28 million students from over 229,000 schools in 50 countries under the supervision of 154,000 supervisors.
