
Dubai Health is set to open a new Diabetes Centre in 2026, aiming to double patient capacity over the next decade. The announcement came during the first meeting of the second term of Dubai Health's Board of Directors, presided over by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Mohamed Farooqi, Director of the Diabetes Centre, emphasized the significance of the new facility in providing specialized treatment and prevention services for diabetes patients. The new Diabetes Centre, covering over 53,000 square feet, will double the capacity of the current facility, thus accommodating a larger number of patients in the coming years.
The new location of the Diabetes Centre will be easily accessible from various parts of Dubai, enhancing the integrated healthcare ecosystem of the city. Her Excellency Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg, Chair of the Steering Committee of the new Centre, praised the patient-centered design of the facility and its role in fortifying healthcare services in Dubai. She stated that the Centre aimed to offer comprehensive care, merging traditional healthcare methods with the promise of artificial intelligence.
