NHRI Board Approves 2025 Operational Plan

The National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) Board of Trustees held its 15th meeting, chaired by Maqsoud Kruse, Chairperson of the NHRI Board of Trustees. During the meeting, the Board reviewed the progress of implementing previous decisions and the quarterly achievement report of the General Secretariat, which encompassed 28 projects concerning administrative, financial affairs, human resources, and technical systems.

The Board approved the budget and operational plan for 2025, aligned with NHRI's strategic priorities covering labor rights, women and children's rights, People of Determination rights, and the right to health and mental health. The operational plan includes the launch of 34 human rights programs like 'Legislation Lab' and 'Knowledge Lab' and establishing specialized committees for field visits and workshops to enhance awareness of human rights culture in collaboration with national entities.

Additionally, initiatives like 'Manabir', a series of educational human rights episodes on YouTube, and the semi-annual digital publication, 'Rights Journal' were discussed. Updates on the implementation of complaints systems and digital services were also reviewed, such as the NHRI mobile app launch, improvements to the online complaints page, and the set-up of a dedicated call center for handling complaints.
