Increasing Security Challenges in the Global Landscape

The world faces rising security challenges, including nuclear proliferation and cybersecurity threats that demand urgent global cooperation and innovative solutions.

Increasing Security Challenges in the Global Landscape

In the world of increasing security challenges, such as nuclear proliferation and cyber security, the conflict between the USA and Russia over military potential is becoming more and more relevant.

Both sides accuse each other of violating existing international treaties signed in the period after the end of the Cold War. The United States accuses Russia of violating the Treaty on Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles (INF Treaty), while the Russian side claims that the USA itself violated this treaty.

Representatives of the American administration are concerned about Russia's development of new nuclear weapons, such as the hypersonic missile 9M729, which, in their opinion, violates the INF Treaty. Moscow, on the other hand, is studying the possibility of creating tactical missiles with a nuclear engine, to which the United States responds in the same way.

"We need to start controlling the dangerous arms race in the world," said recently the American senator Antonio Blinken. "We hope for diplomatic efforts to find a negotiated solution that will allow for the maintenance of peace and stability."

This conflict between the two largest nuclear powers of the world involves not only their own interests but also the entire international security system. The search for compromises and dialogue remains important components in resolving similar disputes to avoid conflict, which can have unpredictable consequences for the entire global community.
