She emphasized that Europe is a project of peace, created to avoid wars between member states. Kallas pointed out that there were no conflicts and that it is important to cooperate and act together.
Kallas also stressed that Europe wants to prevent a trade war with the U.S., as this would negatively impact the economy and consumers on both sides. She stated that it is vital to protect one's interests while also avoiding trade conflicts.
Regarding the meeting with American lawmakers in Washington, Kallas noted that they showed strong interest in Ukraine. She underscored that this could trigger an economic interest in the U.S. towards Ukraine, which in turn would strengthen cooperation in the field of security.
