Dubai police announced a new strategy that divides the population into "urban" and "rural" zones with the aim of improving response times to extraordinary situations and more effective resource allocation globally. Expert, Brigadier General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Deputy Commander of the Dubai Police for Criminal Investigations, announced this new system at the weekly briefing of the General Operations Department.
The new system presumes more effective deployment of patrols and external brigades, ensuring a faster and more effective response both in urban areas and in rural districts. Al Mansouri also clarified that zoning will improve the allocation of resources for fulfilling obligations, such as traffic control, preventing crime, and providing public services.
The strategy also presumes the integration of smart technologies and artificial intelligence in police operations throughout the district. This step is part of the Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040, which aims to enhance services, including ensuring safety, through more effective coordination with the population and developing patterns in each district.
