The European Union on Thursday imposed sanctions on another 41 vessels from Russia's shadow fleet, bringing the total number of sanctioned ships to nearly 600. These measures are part of the EU's efforts to increase pressure on Russia over its actions in Ukraine. The sanctions list is constantly updated, and new vessels are added as their links to the shadow fleet are identified. These sanctions aim to make it more difficult for sanctioned Russian shipping companies to conduct business.
