The World Governments Summit 2026, themed 'Shaping Future Governments', is set to be the largest in the event's history. The Summit will bring together over 35 heads of state and government, more than 150 government delegations, and over 6,000 attendees, including ministers, global CEOs, Nobel laureates, and leading world experts.
The Summit will serve as a premier global platform for transforming public-private cooperation into tangible, real-world impact. Originally envisioned to enhance governance and anticipate global shifts, the event has evolved in response to growing global challenges, transforming from a local gathering into a global nexus for leaders.
The Summit's agenda features over 320 sessions with more than 450 global figures and over 35 ministerial and high-level meetings. Key themes include: Global Governance and Effective Leadership; Societal Wellbeing and Building Capacities; Economic Prosperity and Strategic Investments; Urban Future and Evolving Demographics; and Future Realities and Emerging Frontiers.
The event will also host 24 specialized global forums focused on anticipating future trends across vital sectors. These forums will cover areas such as artificial intelligence, geotechnology, global logistics, the future of education and mobility, global health, and sustainability.
Organizers emphasize that the Summit's success is tied to its network of over 70 strategic partners. Every partnership and joint initiative serves to refine governance models and strengthen nations' ability to navigate future challenges. The Summit will also honor global success stories through four prestigious awards.
"Launched in the UAE with a global reach, the World Governments Summit was guided by the leadership's vision to become a global platform where practical solutions, new ideas, and impactful partnerships take shape," stated Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Governments Summit Organisation.
He highlighted that the 2026 Summit marks an unprecedented milestone, featuring the largest leadership gathering in its history, which solidifies the Summit's position as the world's premier governments forum.
