The International Automobile Federation (FIA), the world body overseeing motorsport and federations worldwide, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the League of Arab States. This agreement aims to enhance cooperation in the fields of transport, tourism, sports, and regional policy. The focus will be primarily on improving cross-border mobility through internationally recognized travel and transport documents, including the ATA Carnet for temporary admission of vehicles and the International Driving Permit. FIA clubs are trusted bodies for issuing ATA Carnets and International Driving Permits, working in close collaboration with national authorities and stakeholders.
