The Dubai Sports Store opened the "Talent Development Center in Basketball for Dubai Clubs" for youth groups aged 14 to 18 years. This took place within the framework of the talent development program for Dubai basketball clubs. The program includes trainings, matches, lessons, and physical tests under the guidance of coaches from the Dubai clubs and store partners.
The first pilot gathering took place at the Nasr Sports Club. "The program began with practical and technical tests on various skills and physical training to assess the players who will join the development centers. Players from the Nasr, Wasl, and Shabab Al-Ali clubs participated, as well as players from private academies.
Representatives of the center stated that in the next sports season, such tests for the selection of the best players for the talent development center will continue.
As part of the efforts to attract and develop sports talents of the Dubai store, OAE champions showed remarkable results at the conclusion of the Fitness Challenge in Al-Fujairah. The competitions were held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al-Sharki, Crown Prince of Fujairah, at the Al-Bahr Hotel and Resort.
The Abu Dhabi Police team took first place in the tournament for men’s enthusiasts, while the "LG S" team from OAE won the tournament among women. OAE’s Salid Al-Shuhai won in individual competitions among enthusiasts. Sheikh Abdullaha bin Hamad bin Saif Al-Sharki, President of the OAE Federation for bodybuilding and fitness, noted that around 320 players participated, and a player set a new record for the tournament in its third version, adding that "an important component of success has been the excellent infrastructure, impressive organization, and attraction of players from various countries and emirates."
