Shabab Al Ahli Dominates UAE Pro League

Shabab Al-Ahli continues to demonstrate strong performances in the UAE Pro League, occupying leading positions after 15 rounds with 41 points, surpassing Sharjah by four points — the second team of the champion. They won the last match against Ajman with a score of 3-1 last Saturday, while 'Dubai Knights' have not known defeat in 17 matches in a row, not losing for more than 258 days — since the moment of defeat to Vassalom in the previous tournament before the last season 2023-2024.

Official statistics of the current season confirm that Shabab Al-Ahli rightfully belongs in the championship leaders, as they are the only team in the UAE Pro League that has not known defeat until now, winning 13 matches and drawing in two matches against Kalba (0-0) and Khorfakkan (1-1). After victories over direct competitors, including Sharjah and Al-Ain, Shabab Al-Ahli secured a spot at the top of the tournament table and held onto victory at the end of the round for the title of 'Winter Champion'.

Having gone 17 matches without defeat, Shabab Al-Ahli managed to score 53 goals, conceding only 15. In the history of the Pro League, the 'Dubai Knights' hold the longest unbeaten streak, consisting of 30 matches, which was interrupted by Vassalom in 2021.

Academy manager of Shabab Al-Ahli club for football, Antar Marzuk confirmed that over the past four seasons, the club has formed a competitive team thanks to strategy, clearly visible in transfers, especially considering players not from the UAE. Marzuk noted: 'The results of the team in the Pro League reflect the strategy, pursued by the club leadership and football company in concluding successful deals, serving a team for a long term up to 10 years.'

As of today, Shabab Al-Ahli has around 20 players of the same quality, which allows for rotation and compensating for the absence of players in different positions. The manager added: 'For instance, recent transfers show that they are aimed at supporting the team and meeting its goals for long-term success, unlike other clubs that aim for quick changes in case of misfortune.'

In the last 17 matches, Shabab Al-Ahli won: against Khatta (5-2), against Hatta (10-0), against Al-Batta (2-1), against Ajman (2-1), against Al-Wahda (5-4), against Al-Aruba (4-1), against Bani Yas (5-1), against Sharjah (2-1), against Al-Ain (1-0), drew with Kalba (0-0), drew with Khorfakkan (1-1), won against Vassalom (3-0), against Nasr (2-0), against Dibba Al-Hisn (3-0), against Al-Jazira (2-1), against Al-Batta (3-1), and against Ajman (3-1).
