The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) revealed the ranking of Asian leagues with the highest spending in the transfer market for 2025. The UAE Pro League secured the third spot on the continent, reflecting a growing momentum and continuous investment in the transfer market, behind the Saudi and Qatari leagues, but ahead of several other major Asian leagues. The UAE league ranked third with total spending amounting to $106 million, confirming its strong presence on the Asian transfer map. At the club level, Al-Wasl made a notable appearance by ranking ninth in the list of the highest-spending Asian clubs during 2025. This made the Emirati club the biggest spender during the same period, climbing 10 places compared to its ranking last year—a leap that reflects a clear strategy to strengthen the team squad and compete at both domestic and continental levels. Meanwhile, Al-Jazira maintained its position within the top ten Asian clubs, securing the tenth spot, making it the second-highest spending Emirati club in 2025. This underscores the club's continued competitive approach in the transfer market, despite intensifying regional rivalry. It is worth noting that FIFA did not specify the exact financial figures for club expenditures, limiting itself to ranking them based on the volume of spending. Globally, the English Premier League continued to top the list of the highest-spending leagues in 2025, with a total of $3.82 billion, outpacing the German Bundesliga, which spent $1.28 billion, followed by the Italian Serie A at $1.20 billion, and then the French Ligue 1 at $953 million.
