The match between the teams Al-Nasr and Al-Wasl, which took place as part of the 16th round of the "Adnoc" Professional League, attracted a large number of elderly residents of the country. This was a continuation of the initiative conducted by the UAE Association for Employment and Respect for Parents in Dubai, aimed at reinforcing respect for parents as a human value in society in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership, making the UAE a leader among countries interested in humanitarian work.
Nasrin Ali bin Draiush, a member of the Management Council and the chairman of the governing council of the UAE Association for Employment and Respect for Parents in Dubai, stated: "We continue to intensify our various activities in all directions to strengthen our message and noble vision in society in general, and the sports sector in particular."
The main aim is to increase interaction between governmental institutions and society, the Association conducts various activities to enhance community engagement. According to Nasrin Ali bin Draiush: "All our community involvement in various forms is a reflection of our aspiration to include the elderly citizens in all targeted initiatives launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, related to state games 'Dubai,' starting from its first version in 2018".
Marwa Al Rahma, the deputy chairman and head of the public initiatives department at First Abu Dhabi Bank, the main supporting partner of the UAE Association for Employment and Respect for Parents in Dubai, clarified: "We continue to support all initiatives and activities of the UAE Association for Employment and Respect for Parents in Dubai, taking into account the First Abu Dhabi Bank's strategy for collaboration with community organizations to strengthen their role through providing support in all its forms for all health initiatives that are implemented according to our wise leadership for the elderly citizens in every aspect, they are doing".
Emphasizing the importance of the presence of elderly citizens at sporting events, Marwa Al Rahma added that the support for Al-Nasr and Al-Wasl tournaments, including the professional football tournament "Adnoc," has significant social advantages for strengthening relationships and intergenerational connections in society and wished everyone enjoyment and happiness from good football.
