The legend "Al-Wasl" Fabio Lima expressed his dream to break the record of former Al-Fahda Hamis, who is historically the highest scorer in the league’s championships with 175 goals. At the moment, Lima has 171 goals, and it is likely that he will become the best scorer of "Al-Wasl" if he scores five more goals. The club has 10 matches left in the current season of the Al-Muharrak Professional Football League.
"Fahda Hamis is a legendary champion, he dedicated his life to the club "Al-Wasl". My dream is to achieve and surpass his result, to write history, but the name of this remarkable player will always remain in the pages of Emirati football," Lima said.
Regarding the goals of "Al-Wasl" in the current season after the distance from the fight for the title in the championship they won last season, Lima noted: "For the team, the task in the league is difficult, but we go into each match separately to achieve a high position by the end of the season, and we are also seriously focused on winning the President's Cup and the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup."
"Al-Wasl" occupies the sixth place in the league, having 24 points, leaving behind the second "Sharjah" with 13 points, and the leading "Shabab Al-Ahli" with 17.
Regarding the possible extension of the contract with "Al-Wasl", Lima said: "As of now, I have not reached an agreement, although I have received offers from other clubs, but without a doubt the priority will be "Al-Wasl", I will study this issue at the end of the season, while I focus on performances with the team in various tournaments."
