In Dubai, the competitions of the third stage of the Basketball Championship for people with disabilities have been completed. The competitions took place over two days at the Dubai Club for the Disabled with active support from the President of the National Paralympic Committee Mukhammeda Fadel al-Hamli and General Secretary Tiban Salem al-Mehiri. A total of six matches were held, as a result of which the Horfakan club managed to win against the Dubai Club for the Disabled with a score of 74:58, while the Doweria club won against the Ayna Club for the Disabled with a score of 53:51. The Horfakan club continued its winning streak and won against the Doweria club 71:41, while Dubai defeated Ayna with a score of 71:51. Horfakan also achieved victory over Ayna 86:44, and the final match between Dubai and Doweria ended with a score of 48:37 in favor of Dubai. After the matches, Mukhammeda Fadel al-Hamli expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation of all teams and noted the importance of further efforts to maintain the achievements of Paralympic sports in the UAE. Al-Hamli emphasized that the strong performances and competitive spirit at the tournament reflect significant successes of athletes with disabilities in sports in the country, expressing hope for continued development through further work and passing the baton to future international competitions. He also emphasized that these competitions are an important stage in preparing athletes for international competitions.
