The international football coach Rudolfo Aravena stated that he does not plan to return to coaching the Argentine league. After his recent visit to Dubai, he will return to Spain. Aravena confirmed that he still has warm relations with Dubai even after leaving the position of head coach of the national team in 2022-2023. He explained that he often visits his homeland due to friendships and because of the pleasant memories he has there.
In an interview for the newspaper 'Emirates Today', Aravena stated: 'After leaving the position of head coach of the Saudi club 'Taawon' last month, I traveled to Dubai for a vacation to enjoy the beautiful winter atmosphere. I happened to visit the match 'Al-Wasl' against 'Al-Hilal' from Saudi Arabia as part of the AFC Champions League.'
He added: 'This is not the first time I have visited this country after leaving the position of coach of the national team. In all coaching projects, I always returned to this beautiful country, where I was associated with beautiful memories.' Aravena noted that attending the match 'Al-Wasl' and 'Al-Hilal' at the Zabeel Stadium brought back the period when he coached 'Imperator', stating that it was the beginning of his coaching career with football in the UAE before working with the youth of 'Al-Ahli' and the national team.
Answering the question about possible offers from Volga professional clubs after leaving 'Taawon', the coach said: 'I currently do not have any offers, neither from the UAE nor from other clubs.'
Regarding the possibility of returning to coaching in the Argentine league after having led 'Boca Juniors' and winning two championships and the cup in 2015, he said: 'I am not thinking right now about returning to the Argentine league, and after my visit to Dubai I will return to Spain.' He added: 'I do not rush to make a decision about my next step, because I always prefer to thoroughly choose the team I will coach, while focusing on the project related to the team, and at the same time ensuring that I can bring them added value.'
Aravena expressed admiration for the level of clubs in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, adding: 'The rise made by Saudi Arabia with the help of large transfers, speaks for itself, and the same can be said about the UAE, where clubs continue to develop and achieve high results, as was illustrated by the victory of 'Al-Ain' in the Asian Champions League last season.'
