Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, met with China's Minister of Sport Zhao Jidanan in Dubai. They discussed cooperation in sports, investment, technology, and joint athlete training.

In Dubai, a meeting was held between Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the National Olympic Committee, and Zhao Jidanan, China's Minister of Sport and Director General of the General Administration of Sport of the People's Republic of China. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss cooperation between the two countries in the Olympic movement and sports. During the talks, the parties discussed the latest developments in world and continental sports, particularly the Asian Games currently taking place in Bahrain until October 31. The delegations of the two friendly countries have achieved impressive results in the overall standings, with China in the lead and the United Arab Emirates in sixth place, which is their best historical result, with the possibility of increasing their medal count by the end of the event. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed also reviewed mechanisms for investment in the sports sector between the countries, as well as cooperation in sports technology and artificial intelligence. The possibility of holding joint training camps for athletes in various sports was also explored. The parties discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation through partnerships and exchange of experience, taking into account the boom in sports movements in both the UAE and China, which possess enormous potential and modern infrastructure. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed highly commended the level of coordination between the two countries, especially in the sports sector and within the Olympic movement, noting that China is among the top 10 countries in terms of Olympic medal count in history. The meeting was attended by Minister of Sport, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee, and Executive Director, Dr. Ahmed Al Falasi, as well as members of the National Olympic Committee's board of directors.
